Tips & Tricks:"How Long Will My Cellular Battery Last?"
This is really two different questions:
"How long will one charge last?" (capacity),
"How many charges will the battery take before it won't charge anymore?" (service life).
Capacity means "Standby and Talk Time", or "How long a single charge will last?" The capacity of cell phone batteries is rated in "milli-amp hours", abbreviated "mAh". Use our Standby and Talk Time page to find estimated capacity for your battery. Different cellular phones use power differently. You can't accurately compare a Motorola Razr standard battery to a Samsung BlackJack standard battery because different phones use power differently. But you can compare the various batteries available for your phone. As the mAh increases, so will the standby and talk time. More mAh capacity means more storage, so Batteries4less.com gives you the most choices with "Slim", "Standard" and "Extended" batteries are available for most cellular phones. Some phones, like the Motorola Razr, need a cover to match the battery size. If you purchase a different battery size than the one you are using, you may need to purchase a matching cover for your phone as well.
Service Life means "How many charge cycles will I get before the battery goes dead ?" Our Battery Guide explains everything you need to know about cell phone batteries. All newer cell phones use advanced chemistries like Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) and Lithium Polymer (Li-Poly). Both of these chemistries, provide the most number of charge cycles and longest lifetime. We include a Battery Care Instruction sheet with every order, so you can charge your battery in the best way to maximize performance.
